Metis Theme comes with the following containers:
Two Column:
Left column Content
This is the left column. The image on the right is in the right column.
It is fully responsive.
On mobile devices the left column stacks on top of the right column.
The content is vertically centered. (not possible with grid-area-layouts)
Two Column Reverse stacked:
Right column Content
This is the right column. The image on the left is in the left column.
It is fully responsive.
On mobile devices the right column stacks on top of the left column.
The content is vertically centered. (not possible with grid-area-layouts)
Two Column CTA:

this is meant to be used as a call-to-action element. It has a left and a right column in a standard container width.
Two Column Hero:

Features:
- adds a lot of padding
- centers the columns vertically
- stacks the columns in reverse
- centers the text/contents on mobile devices
It's great for building responsive hero sections!
